Where it all began
Just a little bit about me: I’m a Wife, mother, an engaging speaker, recruitment guru, trainer, teacher, coach and serial networker! I thrive off meeting new people and when our spirits connect, almost instantly, there’s magic!!
On my journey of the last 20 years, I’ve found, it’s easy for me to engage, connect and meet new people, I allow the Spirit to lead me!! I’ve been in the Staffing and Recruiting World, where I’ve met Hiring Managers and Candidates from all walks of LIFE, from coast to coast!! It’s always been my way to explore outside of my zip code and or experience level, there’s an excitement, in each and every interaction! I’ve trained, recruited, coached and interviewed individuals with PhD’s as well as entry level folks-the one thing that remains is, we all want to tell our stories and connect to find the common denominator!! Value!!
I’m a proud graduate of Judson University, Elgin Illinois, class of 2005 and 2018!!! I obtained both my Bachelors, Management and Leadership as well as my Masters, in Organizational Leadership!! Judson prepared me early on, this is where the seed was originally planted!
I attended Judson’s Open House and I was immediately drawn in, Jill Smith, one of their Academic Advisors truly connected with me! We spoke that evening as if no one else was in the room. She answered all of my questions and my wheels started turning right then and there!! She was very pivotal in my decision to become a Judson College (it wasn’t a University yet) student!!
After my classes began, I immediately began networking in my cohort , there were, a group of eleven men and women from all over the Midwest. I connected based on geographic location, recipes, culture, motherhood, sisterhood, business sector, industry and of course our classes, assignments, group projects and natural desire to succeed, brought us together!! I didn’t practice, didn’t write it down, nor did I think twice about it! It just happened and I loved every minute of it. Our cohort met Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6-10 pm and one Saturday a month, we stayed together for the duration of the Management and Leadership program. We formed so many amazing bonds and friendships with individuals we would have otherwise never met!
The journey of becoming an engaging speaker and serial networking guru began right there on the campus of Judson University in Elgin Illinois in 2004! It’s where I found my voice, it’s where it all started coming together! I share this story to remind you that in every space, in every organization, we ALL have a duty to plant a seed and when we do, it’s amazing the things that happen! Be willing to engage someone today! Use your voice for the good! It’ll bless you each and every time!

I would love to hike with you to blend our talent and passions. so I’m noting your body language, using your words and watching our girls’ interactions with you and the rest of our group. You have so much to share and you are the pebble in the pond whose ripples go on to become part of all of us.
